South Carolina Budget & Control Board (BCB) announces that the Friends of Lake Keowee Society has won a $50,000 competitive grant for its Watershed Low Impact Development (LID) Demonstration Project.

This website has indicated some of the earlier stages of the development of this project as Lake Friendly Landscapes which is being developed at the FOLKS Headquarters. This a demonstation landscape will help waterside owners, developers & landscapers create landscapes that are both beautiful and protective of the lake.

This grant will allow FOLKS to move ahead with the major portions of the project.
